Athens Street Photography: Landmarks, Art & City Life

I landed at Athens Airport on a rainy night in December, unsure of what to expect when I stepped out of the Monastiraki MRT Station. Just a short stroll away, I reached Monastiraki Square. It was fantastic at night; the block-paved square gleamed under the street lights, shimmering like sheets of glass after the recent drizzle. The atmosphere buzzed with activity, and in the distance, the Acropolis rose majestically, illuminated against the black night sky.

I was instantly captivated by this marvellous scene – hooked on Athens at first sight!

So here it is, the Athens Gallery from farralla.

The Athens Gallery: Urban Art, Ancient Views & City Life

In this gallery, you will see typical postcard views of the city’s iconic landmarks as well as the vibrant urban art found in Psiri. Ancient ruins, where millennia old marble gleams alongside vibrant, spray-painted walls, reside in and around the city. Tranquil, pine-covered hills overlook a bustling modern metropolis on the way up to Mount Lycabettus, providing a perfect escape from the lively city centre.

Exploring Athens : Iconic Landmarks & Urban Art

Our Athens gallery showcases stunning postcard views of Athens’ iconic landmarks and vibrant urban art in Psiri. I was captivated instantly by the contrast between ancient ruins, like the Acropolis, and modern street art. I was particularly moved by the warm hospitality of the Greek people, which made my stay unforgettable. The tranquil pine-covered hills provide a serene escape from the bustling city centre, making Athens a vibrant hub of culture worth revisiting.

It’s fair to say that this was a fantastic weekend visit, and I would gladly return.
